NATURE & NURTURE
Nature has been a huge influence on NUUMUUN music.
From the time I was a child, I have loved the natural world.
It has the ability to heal and connect to a larger system.
I have always found my influences in nature,
from the beaches and marshes of South Carolina, the Appalachian mountains,
and even forays in Mexico, the Caribbean, and Europe.
You will hear references in the songs to spirits of the ocean and forest.
Every living thing has a niche to fill.
As everyone goes through their own personal journey,
The natural world has a way of grounding us as well as lifting us up.
Throughout my experience growing up, there was a fascination.
As I became older, I wanted to share those experiences with others.
It is channeled through the music to help other people develop that connection
and feel the healing power.
