The Tin Roof
The Tin Roof is one of Charleston's most beloved independent live music venues and neighborhood bars. Opened in November 2007, it was founded by Erin Tyler, a Columbia, South Carolina native who moved to Charleston to attend the College of Charleston. After working in the local hospitality industry—including at the Charleston Pour House—Tyler dreamed of creating a welcoming neighborhood gathering place where everyone could feel at home. She transformed the former West Ashley Bait & Tackle building into the eclectic venue that locals know today.
