"Thetis," Amphitrite warned, her voice heavy with sorrow, “your love for Astraeus endangers the balance of our world. The sea is our home, our duty. You cannot forsake it, no matter the depth of your love.”
Thetis wept, her tears mingling with the salt of the sea. She knew the truth of her sister’s words, but her heart rebelled against the loss that awaited her. Astraeus, too, understood the gravity of their love. "If I stay," he said, his voice heavy with the weight of the universe, "I will unravel the harmony of the sea and sky. But if I leave, I will carry this love with me, a gravity that will never let me go."
