Hours seemed to pass as Galene guided him past jagged rocks and whirlpools that threatened to swallow him whole. Along the way, she sang a soft hymn, a song of ancient waters and the enduring strength of the sea. It steadied Theron’s heart, filling him with a calm he had not felt in years.
At last, the storm began to abate. The clouds parted, revealing a crescent moon casting its gentle glow upon the waves. In the distance, the silhouette of an island emerged—a haven in the endless expanse of water.
"This is where we part, sailor," Galene said, her voice tinged with sorrow. "The land will shelter you, but it is your will that must carry you forward."
